Michael Fischer has spent a lifetime working in The Restaurant and Hospitality Industry – both as a successful restaurateur and as an Industry operative and representative. Michael was the first student from NSW to complete the first Hotel and Hospitality Diploma offered in Australia. Graduating with a Diploma of Hotel Management from the famed William Angliss College in conjunction with The Footscray College of Technical Education, Michael then spent 3 years working in Hotels and Restaurants around the world – including a stint with the American Air Force based in Wiesbaden in Germany. Michael worked as a Senior Executive with Oliver Shaul and his Summit Restaurant Organisation for more than five years – and spent considerable time at all the operations including Senior Manager for the Summit Restaurant; Food and Beverage Manager for The Sydney Opera House at the time of its opening; Manager at Chatties, Flanagan’s and The MLC Tavern. He then went on to create and build Barnaby’s Restaurant in Parramatta; Barnaby’s lakeside Restaurant in Lansdowne; Kappies Kitchen in Crow’s Nest and Beeblebrox in Parramatta.
Michael has a Business Broking Licence and has specialised in consulting and offering brokerage services to restaurants, cafes and the hospitality Industry in general.
