Peter has experience in the mining sector, the energy sector, professional services sector and as a business owner. Peter has worked in Mt Isa, Papua New Guinea and Mackay working in Metals, Oil and Coal Mining Industry. Work responsibilities included management development, marketing and meeting commercial targets. Commercial targets were a mix of generating profitability, turning business around and mergers.
In the businesses that Peter owned, his responsibilities were to turn a business around and to grow and establish ‘best practice’ for continuous improvement. He also has experience in patenting a new product, successfully sourcing commercial manufacturing of this product off shore and finally securing a commercial contract for the product into Bunnings. Peter was also contracted by the State Government to run financial management workshops for businesses.
