I began my working life in South Africa where I qualified as both a Chartered Accountant and a Lawyer, specialising in M&A law. Later I moved into M&A advisory, where I worked for a number of M&A boutiques and South African domestic banks before ending up at Barclays where I headed up Consumer & Industrials, in Investment Banking, for the Africa region.
In Australia I worked for Deloitte, in Turnaround & Restructuring and in Corporate Finance Advisory. I also do buyside work in Australia for The Bidvest Group, which is based in in South Africa.
