Big Wins for Brokers at the AIBB National Conference 2025
Recently, the AIBB National Conference 2025 was held at the iconic Adelaide Oval, marking the profession’s premier annual event. Each year, the conference brings together business brokers from across Australia to network, share knowledge, and celebrate the success of their peers.
With 126 attendees, the three-day program united brokers, industry leaders, and partners for a mix of training, workshops, and recognition all in one of the country’s most memorable venues, ahead of the Crows vs Collingwood clash. Attendees were lucky enough to watch the players train ahead of the Collingwood win.
A highlight early in the program was the Women in Business Broking (WIBB) breakfast, which welcomed 26 women. The strong turnout reflects a clear shift within the profession, with increasing numbers of successful business owners making the transition into business broking. These women are bringing fresh skills, energy, and perspectives into the profession.
Jonothan Parker was a Standout at the Awards
The Gala Dinner was truly the highlight of the year for business brokers, as everyone gathered in their finest black-tie attire to celebrate the profession. Held in the historic Don Bradman Room at Adelaide Oval, the evening sparkled like a red-carpet event, filled with laughter, photos, and anticipation. More than just a dinner, it was an opportunity to recognise the dedication, achievements, and resilience of brokers across Australia, and to come together as a profession in style.
The spotlight shone brightly on Jonathon Parker, who had an exceptional year and took home an incredible four awards;
- National Business Broker of the Year 2025
- Highest Dollar Value of Total Sales 2025
- Highest Dollar Value of a Single Sale 2025
- Deal Maker of the Year 2025

Jonathon’s achievements reflect not only his dedication to the profession but also his outstanding results, with 49 sales completed in the past year.
In 2024, Jonathon won the prestigious AIBB Deal Maker of the Year which he remarked “It was quite a surprise actually, and at my first AIBB Conference. But it was really good to actually attend the conference, and then it was a great honour to win that award.”
This year, he took out the honour of 4 top awards after a stellar year in broking in WA. If you want to read his journey to broking, we interviewed him last year in the article, AIBB Deal Maker: How Jonathon Parker is Dominating Hospitality and Retail in WA
Alongside Jonothan were a number of highly successful brokers taking out the finalist awards; Sally Stuart, John Kasapi, Roland West, Sabrina Xia, Travis Latter and Brad Potter.

Celebrating Emerging Talent, Tenacity and Brokers Choice Awards
The Gala also recognised other outstanding professionals
- Emerging Talent of the Year - Jennifer Angsiting
- Tenacity Award – Shreynash Shah
- Brokers’ Choice Award – Roland West
The new categories of Tenancity and Brokers Choice were warmly received, celebrating resilience, peer respect, and the collaborative spirit that underpins the business broking profession.

Chairman's Awards
One of the memorable moments of the evening was Andrew Morris presenting the Chairman’s Award, a recognition that reflects his steady leadership of the AIBB over the past three years. Having guided the profession through a period of growth and change since 2022, Andrew has officially handed over the reins to Simon Bedard, the newly appointed Chair. It was a fitting transition a moment of respect for Andrew’s contribution and optimism for the direction Simon will now lead the AIBB.

Service Awards
The AIBB wouldnt be the organisation it is without the support of its members and committee keeping it running, these brokers were recognised for their contributions.

Looking Ahead
This year’s conference was made possible thanks to the support of Business Events Adelaide and the Government of South Australia.
For us at Bsale, this marked our fourth year proudly sponsoring the AIBB National Conference, and it’s always a privilege to support such a meaningful event for the profession. We held a Jelly Bean guessing game at our stand, which came in at 1,706 jelly beans. The winner of the draw was Jennifer Angsiting from New Gen Business Agents, who took home a beautiful Coach laptop bag. Congratulations, Jennifer!
The 2025 AIBB National Conference will be remembered as a milestone, not only for Jonathon Parker’s remarkable wins but for the sense of positivity and collaboration across the profession. It showed once again that while business broking is a niche, it is a profession built on expertise, connection, and the drive to help business owners transition to their next chapter. We look forward to 2026!
